Daniel B. Lopez is the newest addition to the U.S. Law Group team. Daniel’s studies at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) and Boston University, School of Law, have more than prepared him for practice in Entertainment, Intellectual Property and Litigation.

After graduating from UCLA with honors in the Alpha Lambda Delta & Phi Eta Sigma National Honors Societies, Daniel would go on to continue his studies at Boston University, School of Law, where he would study directly under one of the leading minds in intellectual property law, Professor Wendy J. Gordon. While studying under Professor Gordon, Daniel’s research focused on the interplay between the Civil Anti-Bootlegging Clause and the Intellectual Property Clause.

From there, Daniel would pursue legal internships with Insomniac Holdings, LLC, producer of some of the world’s largest electronic dance music festivals, including Electric Daisy Carnival (EDC). During his time with Insomniac, Daniel developed his legal skills working directly under the General Counsel, vigorously protecting Insomniac’s intellectual property and working directly on licensing agreements for the various Insomniac branded events.

Soon after passing the California State Bar Exam, Daniel started his work with U.S. Law Group, developing his interest in intellectual property with a special focus on the music industry. Daniel has also been involved in a broad spectrum of areas, from navigating the forefront of marijuana related trademarks to representing clients in their labor law claims.
